COACHING YEAR
H3 Sports is offering a 9-12 month intensive for young athletic coaches to develop as coaches and as people. Live in Orlando, Florida as part of a community of individuals brought together with the goal of encouraging people into the best version of themselves– particularly in the sporting arena. Grow your knowledge, practice, and perspective as a coach with hands on experience and mentorship. Work towards coaching certification in your sport, get connected coaching opportunities locally and around the world, and make a lasting impact on your future and those around you.
– College / pro / club athletes who want to pursue their sport as a coach.
– Those who want to coach athletics beyond the X’s and O’s / wins and losses.
– Individuals seeking personal and career growth within a supportive community.
INTENTIONAL COMMUNITY
The Club House is located in Lake Nona, Florida– a suburb of Orlando and a hub to major sporting facilities. It’s home to five single adults, each participating in the Coaching Year program. Three solo rooms and one shared master suite. Included HOA amenities: swimming pool, gym, tennis courts, pickle ball, basketball, softball/multi sport field, dock extending onto lake, dog park. Golf range and 18-hole course not included, but easily accessible.
Enjoy weekly family style meals with home cooked food and genuine conversation. Go on team excursions with your fellow coaches to the beach, theme park, or professional sporting events.
DEVELOP YOUR CRAFT
Work closely with Coach Sid Newcomb in groups and one on one settings.
Coach Sid is a career coach. His primary vocation has been in the tennis industry. From 2016 – 2022 he was the US National Director of Coaching for Tennis where his primary focus was on developing and certifying tennis coaches of all experience levels throughout the country.
His passion for coaching is fueled by his belief that coaches have a tremendous opportunity to impact people’s lives and help individuals realize and become all they can be.
Coach Sid will be a part of mentoring coaches holistically with a focus on mental, physical, and spiritual growth.
HANDS ON EXPERIENCE
H3 Sports will assist in placement in a local coaching position (club, high school, YMCA, etc.). Coaching jobs may be stipend or volunteer, based on availability and experience level.
MAKE AN IMPACT THROUGH SPORT
Coaches are in position of influence. Just as your Coaching Year will impact your personal development, you’re certain to leave an impact on your peer coaches, the athletes you work with, and the local community.
Toward the end of their Coaching Year, coaches will have the opportunity to lead a team on a 7 to 10 day overseas service trip.

Cost: The mentoring and coaching program is included in the cost of a low monthly rent, plus shared utilities.
